Details Emerge In The Murder of DJ Megatron

Details are still emerging in the death of Hot 97 personality DJ Megatron, who was gunned down early Sunday morning (March 27th).

Sources revealed that the shooting occurred while DJ Megatron a.k.a Corey McGriff was on the phone with a friend around 2:00 AM.  The friend claimed while having the conversation with McGriff the call dropped all of a sudden.

According to the police sources have come forth and said three unidentified individuals fled the scene at the time of the crime.

DJ Megatron leaves behind three children and the question of what could've been.  R.I.P.  You will be missed.

Tiffany Evans Parts Ways With Matthew Knowles

As reported earlier, Beyonce and Matthew Knowles went their separate ways.  Well Matty got the boot again, this time with his latest artist Tiffany Evans.

The "Promise Ring" singer spoke about parting ways with Matthew via twitter:

"The announcement that I was going to make is that I am no longer managed by Matthew Knowles.  In all honesty it was a great learning experience but the BEST decision was made for me.  I appreciate so much the support that the Music World family has shown me but feel best at this stage in my career to go a different direction with my choice of management. I am so very pleased with it and I can't begin to tell you how free I am and excitement behind what is going on with my project now!! I truly know NOW that this is the start of a great journey in my career!  Can't wait to share the OTHER exciting news! Love you #TeamTiff :-) Cheers to success!

Beyonce Fires Matthew Knowles As Manager

C'mon who didn't see this coming?? For all of ya'll who has been living under a rock, Beyonce has parted ways with longtime manager Matthew Knowles.  Beyonce released a statement:

"I've only parted ways with my father on a business level.  He is my father for life and I love my dad dearly.  I am grateful for everything he has taught me.  I grew up watching both he and my mom manage and own their own businesses.  They were hard-working entrepreneurs and I will continue ti follow in their footsteps."


Matthew responded to the recent news in a statement:

"The decision for Beyonce and Music World Entertainment to part was mutual.  We did great things together, and I know that she will continue to conquer new territories in music and entertainment.  Currently, I am very focused on the tremendous investment that our record label has made in the gospel/inspirational genre of music and out supremely talented roster of artist, including Trin-i-tee 5:7, Brain Courtney Wilson, Juanita Bynum, Micah Stampley, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Pastor Rudy, and others.


Music World will continue its partnership with Sony with Destiny's Child and UK female group From Above, as well as management.  We will also continue to develop the Music World family of labels: Music World Country/Compadre, Music World Kids, and Music World Music.  In Music World's repositioning it will not continue its label/management role with Columbia/Sony artist Tiffany Evans.


Business is business and family is family.  I love my daughter and am very proud of who she is and all that she has achieved.  I look forward to her continued great success."


Beyonce has made any new annoucements of new management but I wouldn't be surprised if it's ROC NATION.

Chris Brown Debuts at #1

Critics thought Chris Brown's GMA outburst would have a negative affect on his record sales.  Well Chris proved the critics wrong. Chris debuted at #1 on Billboard 200 with 273,346 sales, making the second largest debut of the year after Adele's album of 315,000 sales.

Jennifer Hudson came in at #2 selling 167,373 copies.

Congrats to them both.

Dionne Warwick Fired From "Celebrity Apprentice"

Dionne Warwick was sent home last night after members of her team thought she should get the boot for leaving their task early to take a nap.  That's right that hussy left early to take a damn nap!  Dionne didn't put much of a fight and The Trump decided it was time for Dionne to Walk On By.


Dionne did introduced us to a new form of reading a bitch, as Dionne gave NeNe a hug and said, "You're a coward baby" with a smile

Snoop Dogg Pays Homage To Nate Dogg

Lately Snoop has been paying homage to friend and colleague Nate Dogg in more ways than one.

Friday night Snoop paid a visit to tattoo artist Mister Cartoon in Southern California.  Snoop got a tattoo of legendary hip-hop artist Nate Dogg picture on his left arm.  Underneath the picture it reads, "All Doggs Go To Heaven".

Snoop also collaborated with fellow rapper Warren G to create a tribute video to Nate Dogg, "Nobody Does It Better".  Check it out...



It is truly nobody that does it better.  R.I.P. Nate Dogg.

Atlantic City Promoter Sues Wendy Williams For Being "Ungrateful"

An Atlantic City promoter is suing talk show host Wendy Williams for not "properly" hosting a party she agreed to attend.

According to TMZ, Harrahs Resort and Casino has filed a $25,000 lawsuit against the "DWTS" contestant claiming she didn't fulfilled her duties as a party host.

The suit claims that Williams agreed to make a 2-hour appearance at the resort's nightclub The Pool but when she arrived, she and her manager-husband "Big Kev" stayed in a fancy cabana stacked with bottles (4 bottles of Ace of Spades champagne, and 2 bottles of white wine), and didn't even bothered to mingle with the resort's guest.

Hmm...Wendy, you fancy huh?

Chris Brown Gets Invited Back To 'GMA'

ABC studios decided to forgive and forget and reportedly extended an invitation for Chris Brown to come back to ABC and do another interview. 'GMA' co-host Robin Roberts announced today.

"We wish him the absolute best and... we've extended the invitation to him and I sure hope that he takes us up on it, because we'd love to have another chat with him."


Robin also gave her side of the story about the alleged outburst.

"Anytime we have a guest here on the program, we let them know ahead of time the subject matter, the topics that we're going to discuss and we, even right before the interview, I said the to Chris and I was shocked like everybody else was."


I smell another lame attempt for ratings, and just to let you know Chris appearance on "DTWS" is still on.

R.I.P Elizabeth Taylor

Academy Award winning actress Elizabeth Taylor died of congestive heart failure at the age of 79 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center early Wednesday morning.

Taylor entered the hospital six week ago for treatment of symptoms of the disease, said publicist Sally Morrison.

Taylor's son Michael Wilding released a statement:

"My mother was an extraordinary woman who lived life to the fullest, with great passion, humor, and love.  Though her loss is devastating to those of us who held her so close and so dear, we will always be inspired by her enduring contribution to our world.  Her remarkable body of work in film, her ongoing success as businesswoman, and her brace and relentless advocacy in the fight against HIV/AIDS, all make us all incredibly proud of what she accomplished.  We know, quite simply, that the world is a better place for Mom having lived in it.  Her legacy will never fade, her spirit will always be with us and her love will live forever in our hearts."

Chris Brown's Violent Outburst at 'GMA'

Looks like someone needs to go back to anger management.  According to reports Chris Brown stormed out of his "Good Morning America" interview with Robin Roberts this morning after being asked about the 2009 incident with him and Rihanna.

Allegedly after the interview Chris stormed into his dressing room screaming.  The hair and make-up people were so alarmed that they called security.  By the time security arrived, Chris ripped off his shirt and left the building leaving a broken glass window in his dressing room and shattered glass that fell in the streets of 43rd and Broadway behind.

When leaving the building, Chris got up in the segment producers face while other workers jumped in to break it up.

After the incident her tweeted, "I'm so over people bringing up past shit up!! Yet praise Charlie Sheen and other celebs for there bullshit."


According to "The Wendy Williams Show" Chris Brown has been arrested.

Until Chris grows up and learns how to control his anger he will never get his career back on track, and it's a shame because he's an amazing talent

In Cased You Missed It: Wendy Williams on "DWTS"

Last night was the season premiere of Dancing With The Stars.  Wendy Williams faced her fears and did the best Cha-Cha that her two two left feat allowed her to do.  Wendy danced to Chaka Kahn's "I'm Every Woman"  The judges felt Wendy showed no personality and was "timid".

Mashonda Covers KING Magazine

"Love & Hip-Hop" star Mashonda heats up the cover of KING Magazine May/June 2011 issue.  Inside she talks about her new show, her loyalty tattoo and dating.

The issue doesn't hit newsstands until March 29th but here's a few highlights and goodies just for you.

On Her Loyalty Tattoo
I got it a year after everything started going downhill.  Its a reminder to me that I have to be loyal to myself for once.


I was so loyal to everyone and I totally forgot about me.  This is what it represents loyalty to self.  Now I have to do things that I love to do, and I have to make myself happy, because I don't really agree when people say, "I need a man 'cause I want to be happy" or "I'm not happy because I don't have a man".  That's not where it starts.  Happiness starts from within and that's in my focus.


On Love & Hip-Hop
I did a few episodes [first], then ended up doing a lot of episodes because the chemistry was perfect with me and Emily.  I ended up being a recurring guest, and it worked out perfectly, because I'm on the show and people get to see me and hear my stories.  But it's not like a character that's there.



On Her Role With Emily
At the time that we shot, I was in a great place, so that's what made the difference.  I felt like that was my therapy, and that's all I wanted to do.  Anytime I'd log in Facebook or Twitter, there would be tons of women reaching out to me, thanking me for sharing my story.  Those messages gave me a lot of strength, a lot of courage.  From that point on, I just wanted to help women, and Emily being a good friend of mine, it was easy for me to go on there and talk to her and be honest.


On Male Groupies
[Laughs] Oh, Lord you know what, I show everybody love.  But I don't like the word "groupie" -- It's so harsh.  I don't feel there's anything wrong with one person admiring another person.

Ne-Yo Performs For Fans In Japan

Many artist are afraid to visit Japan after the recent disasters that accrued, but not Ne-Yo.  Ne-Yo has kept his word and continued his tour in Japan.  He played a in Nagoya this past Saturday.  He also found time in his busy schedule to do some charity work.

According to TMZ, some of his dancers were too afraid to continue with the tour, but the show must go on the Ne-Yo will continue the tour.  He has two more dates in Japan on March 22nd and 24th. ending his last stop in Korea March 30th.

'Ready To Die' Baby All Grown Up

Everyone remembers the cover of the classic Notorious B.I.G.'s Ready To Die album.  Meet Keithroy Yearwood, the toddler rocking the afro on the cover of the album.

The Daily New caught up with the 18 year old Bronx native.  Yearwood said he never thought his baby picture was a big deal until it landed him a modeling contract at 8 years old.

Who The F*** Want War: Bill Cosby Vs. Russell Simmons

Things got heated between Hip Hop Mogul Russell Simmons and legendary comedian Bill Cosby over the weekend at the Jackie Robinson Annual Awards dinner.  The feud between these two began back in 2009 when Simmons gave his opinion about Cosby's "State Of Emergency" project.  Russell felt Mr. Cosby was being very judgmental of black people.  According to Russell's blog on Global Grind he spotted Bill to apologize and Bill wasn't having it!

"I wanted to find him to apologize, to tell him I was sorry about my statements and to tell him I loved him.  Suddenly I turned and he was behind the curtain and I said "I love you" and he responded on some real hip-hop, "Get the f*ck out my face!"


His next move was straight up old school pre b-boy shit.  He walked by me and bumped me with his shoulder as I walked off stage after presenting my award to Sean [Combs] then loved him even more."

Janet Jackson Signs A Production Deal With Lionsgate

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Janet has a new production deal with Lionsgate to develop and produce a feature film. When asked about the project, Janet said:

"Many people forget I started out as an actor.  I have been fortunate to work in the film industry, though not as much as I would like.  I have a passion for storytelling and have been doing it through my music for some time."


Mike Paseonek, Lionsgate President of Motion Picture Production and Development express his excitement on working with Ms. Jackson.

"She is a powerful on-screen presence, with a vast audience, and we believe she will have an equally powerful presence behind the scenes.  We are honored to be able to provide a home for her ideas, passion and immense talent."

RL Blast Jagged Edge For Dissing Him During Photo-Op

Lead singer of Next, RL put one of the members of Jagged Edge on blast for not taking a photo with him after a performance in Atlanta.

In the video RL express his disappointment of the group member by saying he is a fan of Jagged Edge and there is no need for black artist to work against each other.

Chris Brown Talks About Nude Photos

Chris Brown stopped by Big Boy's Neighborhood and Big Boy finally got Chris to talk about the nude photos.

When asked about the photos, Chris says he came fresh out the shower, decided to take a pic and send it to one of his many ladies to prove what he is working with.

He also let the crew know that he was NOT fully erected when he took the pic.  If that's not a gift from baby Jesus I don't know what is.

R.I.P. Nate Dogg

Another Hip-Hop legend gone too soon.  According to official reports Nate Dogg (born as Nathaniel Dwyane Hale) died Tuesday night (March 15th).  The cause of death is still unknown, but the hip-hop singer had two major strokes back in 2007 and 2008, that left him paralyzed on the left side of his body.

Nate Dogg is best known for singing hooks for some of today hottest artist such as, Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Dr. Dre, Ludacris, Fabolous and 50 Cent.
